Add Text to a Layout
Use the Horizontal Text Tool to choose font and size. Thick, heavy fonts work best.
Type your text and accept it. Drag a corner of the bounding box to make it larger, if desired.
In order to add a stroke the Text Layer needs to be simplified. Select the Text Layer in the Layers Panel, Right-click> Simplify Layer
Select the Text (Method 1 or 2)
- Hold the Shift key and use the Magic Wand to select each letter.
2. Hold the Ctrl key and click on the Text thumbnail. All the letters are selected.
Add a Stroke (Outline) Selection
On a New Layer, select Edit> Stroke (Outline) Selection…
Set Stroke Width> Outside> Click OK
Move Stroke Layer Below the Text Layer
The stroke is now on a separate layer above the text. Drag the layer below the text.
Shadows can be applied to either the Stroke or Text separately or on both. So easy!
