Methods to Duplicate Layers
Photoshop Elements 14 usually has multiple ways to accomplish a task. Duplicating layers is no exception. I use most, if not all, of these methods at one time or another. So let’s look at a few options to duplicate one or more layers.
From the Menu Bar: Layer> Duplicate Layer or Alt + L> D> OK.
In Layers Panel: Right Click on the Layer(s) to duplicate> Duplicate Layer> OK.
In Layers Panel: Select Layer(s) to duplicate> Drag up or down.
In Layers Panel: Select Layer(s) to duplicate> Ctrl + J.
Finally, you can drag the layer(s) you want to duplicate to the Create a New Layer icon.
In every case above, you can select one or more layers to duplicate.
