It Pays to Enter Challenges

I love challenges and I love, them even more, when it pays to enter the challenge.  Of course, getting paid is usually based on a random drawing or if the layout is selected as a GSO (gallery stand out).  It usually pays by way of a free template you get to use for the challenge and sometimes a coupon for a free purchase.

I love Scrapping with Liz templates.  I love them so much I have a folder on my computer just for SWL templates.  I can count on one hand the number of designers that get their own personal folder!  I don’t use personal folders unless I have many, many products by a particular designer.  The layout below was created using a template for her March template challenge.

Little Fishy

For me, this is a win, win, win, win.  I got a free template to participate, used a kit I absolutely love, it was selected by Liz as a gallery stand out for the week AND since it was selected as GSO, I got a coupon to use in her store.  Yay!

March Mood Board Challenge

I made today’s layout for the Mood Board Challenge at The Digichick.  If you haven’t tried this type of challenge, you should!  This was my first attempt.  It’s really cool because each participant gleans whatever stands out to them about the mood board.  For me, I loved the vintage feel, the soft colors, the delicate teacups and baby chicks, and the beautiful flowers. That is the “feel” I was going for with this layout.

I love the colors and elements in this kit and the template seems delicate and perfect to me.

Dreamcatcher

I love the new release “Dreamcatcher” by Kimeric Kreations so much I had to create two layouts using it.  The first is a reminder to dream big, make a plan and proceed one step at a time.  Sometimes we look at the big picture, the end result when we think of our dreams or goals. This can be overwhelming.  But when we break it down into the smaller steps that lead to the end result we can make progress.  I used Feeling Square..ish Template by JoCee Designs.

One Step At A Time

The second layout was created for the March Quote Challenge at The Digichick.  It’s another “note to self” that if God is for me, and He is, then it doesn’t matter who’s against me.  For this layout, I used Sugar Cravings Template by Christaly.

Cascarones!

A Creative Spring, by Kimeric Kreations, is the perfect kit to scrap this layout about Cascarones, the confetti filled eggs seen at Easter.  This kit is one of the many colorful kits found in The Hatchery right now at The Digichick.
