I love masculine kits that are ageless, the ones that can be used for boys and men of all ages. They have colors and elements we tend to associate more with males. That being said, the colors and elements are so great, they aren’t limited to “manly” layouts but are perfect if that’s what you’re looking for. I made the following layouts using Kimeric Kreations new release, Oh, Boy! I love all the sprockets, gears, mechanical items, barbed wire and the lightbulbs.

I made this layout using JoCee Designs Flutterby templates and her kit Reach for the Sky for the Spotlight on JoCee Designs challenge at The Digichick. This photo of my nephew was just too cute not to scrap and the kit was absolutely perfect.

I absolutely love Created by Jill’s kit “How to Be Awesome”. I didn’t even realize how much I was going to love it until I started working with it. The collection has a feminine and a masculine kit. Some of the elements can be used with either kit. This collection is huge!!
In addition, I used two new templates in Flutterby Templates set by JoCee Designs. These templates are so cool and they make it quick and easy to put a layout together.
First I made a layout using the “feminine” pieces. I liked the results so much I had to use the masculine side too. Here are the layouts I created.
“Be Still” is one of the most beautiful kits I’ve seen recently. It’s based on one of my favorite verses in the bible, “Be still and know that I am God”, Psalm 46:10. Sometimes we let the circumstances around us cause us to lose sight of what’s important. The only way to stay grounded is to keep our eyes on God. When we remember that God is in control, we can have peace in the midst of turmoil.
I also used this kit for the Art Journal Challenge at The Digichick. The challenge was to use a word, from a website of invented words, designed to fill a hole in the English language. The word I chose is Silience. God’s masterpieces-sunrises, sunsets, rainbows, mountains, oceans, stars, animals, flowers, etcetera are new every day yet we take them for granted. We have friends and family with talents we aren’t aware of or don’t acknowledge. Silience abounds!
As we go through life, let’s learn to appreciate the talent, beauty and masterpieces that surround us. Take time to recognize and encourage the efforts of those around us. Be still and know God can give you peace and great calm in the midst of any storm (Mark 4:39).

I absolutely loved working with this kit and template, it really makes scrapping so easy! I love the colors and embellishments that are included in the kit. They’re soft and pretty. I’ve used three of the four templates that are included in the template set and I love the looks of each one. Plus, templates can be rotated or altered in innumerable ways making them even better. As always, I’ve included links to the kit and template in the credits below the layout.
Yes, I love ladybugs, so when a kit comes out called Lady Bug, Lady Bug, you got me. Not only does this kit have ladybugs, it has tons of glorious colors and elements I love. Take a look at a couple of layouts created using this lovely kit. I’ve linked the credits so you can easily pick up this new release for yourself.

I created this layout, Going Home, using a gorgeous kit & template designed by Sunrise Studio. The templates are new to the store this week and the kit was released last week. I’m sure you will agree it’s beautiful. If you’d like to try them out click the links in the credits below.
I’ve used some of the verses of one of my favorite songs about going home to heaven.
