Mystery Box Challenge December 2019

It’s the final Mystery Box for 2019 and it’s a hodgepodge of delightful goodies. This is one of my favorites challenges because you just never know what you’re going to get.  The designers contribute their portions without any idea what the other designers are contributing so it really is a mystery all the way around. If you’d like to give it a go you can get the Mystery Box here.

We’re already a week into December, so you’re at an advantage.  You can see a good sampling of what’s included by checking out the layouts that are already posted.  Here’s mine.

December Journaling Challenge at Pickleberrypop

I’d love to have you join me for the Journaling Challenge I’m hosting this month at Pickleberrypop.  The challenge is to journal about 5 of your favorite things about Christmas or Winter (your choice).  The twist is to use a combination of stamps, photos, & shapes, then add text, word strips, or word art to tell the story that the stamps/photos represent.

Here are a couple of examples I created.  My first layout is for Christmas.  I used photos or elements to create stamps of my favorite things.  Then I used word strips and a countdown theme to tell the story of our Christmas traditions.

The layout for winter using shapes combines two photos + 3 three “journal card” shapes with elements that depict snow, snowmen, and winter foliage.  I then used a combination of one word-strip and text to tell the story.

I had a lot of fun with this challenge and hope you will too.
