New Releases at The Digichick July 14, 2016

Today’s layouts all have one thing in common, they all use Kimeric Kreations’ new release Summer Skies. I don’t usually use the same kit for all my layouts but the colors in this kit were perfect and I hope the three layouts show how versatile it is. The first layout is very colorful and the other two are fairly monochromatic.

Layout #1 When I saw the colorful lanterns I knew I wanted to incorporate them into a layout. So they were the inspiration for this layout and the colors in the photo of my grandson were perfect.

Layout #2 This layout is for the Give Me Space Challenge. When I saw JoCee Designs’ Weeks of the Year Masks Pack 2, I immediately thought of this challenge. This month the GMS Challenge calls for two photos, so voila!

Layout #3 This layout is for the Tic Tac Toe Challenge. For this challenge, I chose to use photos, stitches and blue. The summer days journal card uses a range of “hot” colors from yellow to red and set the tone for the page because the photos made me think of how hot you get while being buried in sand. For the word art, I sliced and diced two word strip quotes that are included in the kit. They were originally on white paper strips but I removed the paper and kept the quotes.
