May 2019 Use It All Challenge at Pickleberrypop

May’s challenges at Pickleberrypop are all extraordinary.  I recommend you check them out.  This month’s Use It All mini kit, Grace, is provided by Jumpstart Designs.  It is absolutely stunning.  Although all of the other challenges this month focus on photos I created a photoless layout using this mini kit.  Click on the layout to be redirected to the challenge.  While you’re there be sure to check out the other cool challenges!

Use It All Challenge at Pickleberrypop

The Use It All Challenge at Pickleberrypop is always fun!  Just create a layout using everything in the free mini kit then post it in the gallery and on the challenge page.  Paula of Palvinka Designs is hosting this month.  She has provided this sweet mini called Fresh as a Daisy.

Did I mention I love daisies?  Here’s my layout.

Mystery Box Challenge for March 2019

The Mystery Box Challenge has become one of my favorites. You never know what you’re going to get until you download it.  Since many designers contribute a portion to the kit it can contain a variety of styles.  While that can be challenging it also means you have an opportunity to step out of your comfort zone which is a great way to grow.  Remember, if you always stay in your comfort zone there is less chance to learn something new.

Here is the layout I created with this month’s mystery box. To create the circles at the bottom of the page I used a white paper with blue polka dots and applied a blend mode. It’s the same paper I used for the photo mat.

In case you’re wondering, the fonts used are Happy-Txt Abrasive and Boy-Carolina Mountains.

Are you up for a challenge?  Head on over and grab The Mystery Box Challenge kit. Then come back and tell me one or two things that challenged you.

February Use It All Challenge at Pickleberrypop

If you’ve been following me for a while you know I love challenges.  I also recommend them to others because they usually encourage you to get out of your comfort zone in some way.  It may be by asking you to create a layout with a kit or style that’s not your typical go-to colors or style.  This month’s Use It All challenge is provided by Alexis Design Studio.  Lexy’s kits are always beautiful and include flowers and lace with a feminine touch.  Here’s the layout I created using the mini kit she has provided.  Did I tell you I also love envelopes or pockets I can fill?

Check out the challenge here.  Isn’t amazing how many different looks can be achieved?
