Happy New Year everyone! This layout represents the sentiment or goal I have set for myself for 2018. I’m going to print this layout and hang it as a reminder to myself.

My husband and I don’t actually celebrate Valentine’s day. He has surprised me a couple of times over the last thirty-one years but they were exceptions to the rule. Leading up to Valentine’s day designers release tons of products aimed at this day. The layout I made today uses a template from JoCee Designs and a kit by Snickerdoodle Designs. My layout is not too “Valentiney”, but then neither am I.

Today I want to share my top ten reasons to love digi (digital) scrapping. They are in no particular order and there could easily be ten more.
Put smiles on some faces this year and next. Scrapbooks make wonderful gifts for any season. Individual pages are also great gifts. There are so many different gift ideas such as prints (framed or unframed), posters, canvas prints, calendars, cups, blankets and pillows to name a few.
What are your top ten reasons for digi scrapping?
Today we celebrate three funny holidays-Friendship Day, Sister’s Day & Watermelon Day. I love them all! My love my Sister who is also my best friend. Although, I don’t have any photos of us eating watermelon together, I did include a watermelon in the layout.
It’s great having a BFF Sister! I can’t imagine it any other way. Make time for your family and friends. Nurture what matters. Whether you celebrate one or all of these funny holidays, be sure to have a wonderful time.

It’s time to get ready for iNSD which is less than two weeks away. If you’re new to digital scrapbooking you may be wondering what iNSD is all about. It’s party time in the digi scrap world. Although iNSD stands for interNational Scrapbooking Day it actually lasts several days. The “day” is November 2 this year so it’s not too late to get ready.
As part of the celebration there will be loads of freebies from stores and designers worldwide. They will also have loads of stuff you can buy of course. My advice is to take some time now to organize your current stash so you will be prepared for the onslaught. If you’re not uber organized already you’ll want to read Sharon Horswill’s article here. Even if you are organized already there are some great ideas you may want to incorporate.
I create a temporary folder such as iNSD Nov 2013. Then download everything I think I’ll use into that folder. Then I go back later to deal with organization. That’s when everything gets a second look and more consideration. Some things are keepers and get filed appropriately and some things go into the trash bin.
So before you download another thing, spend some time sorting through what you already have. You have a little over a week to get ready for iNSD. Have fun!
